Crystal error 534 appears during preview of Custom form
534
Outer Join
Left Outer Join in the Modified report
ODBC and 534
no Outer Join error displays on the Client Workstation just a 534 error All ODBC DSN info is correct on client side.
All Versions 5.0 to 6.10
PROBLEM:
After adding the report style for the custom report in Report Style Maintenance, and trying to preview/print it, the Crystal Error "534"
would appear during the preview.
SOLUTION:
You must apply the Left outer join fix and add the 'pgpro915' to the line added to the Registry key added to the Openingres line.
Also be certain that the set location has been performed on the main report and any Sub-reports within the form. Verify the database step as well.
THESE ARE REQUIRED STEPS WHEN YOU HAVE A REPORT WITH LEFT OUTER JOIN AND INTEND ON USING IT ON CLIENT SYSTEMS.
SEE KB Doc 2907MPS for details and Reg Key Addition.

To fix this, browse in Regedit to the following location and ADD the 'pgpro915'
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Seagate Software\Crystal Reports\DatabaseOptions
Right-click on DatabaseOptions and choose New > Key and name it OuterJoin (if OuterJoin key is already showing then go to next step
below)
Right-click on OutJoin and choose New > String Value and name it Openingres
Double-click on Openingres and add pgpro915 to Value Data
Note: If OutJoin key and Openingres string already exist then add
pgpro915 to the string.
Example: oplodbc,oplodb32,pgpro915

Subject: [Vantage] Vantage 6.1 Printing Issues
We are using Vantage 6.1 with the latest and "greatest" patches. Our issues are with printing PO's and Job Travelers. They are setup in Crystal Reports 8.5 off the original POFORM and JOBTRAVLER reports. They have slightly modified including our logo and a few other simple changes. The issue is it takes forever to print one PO or Job Traveler. One part number in particular will not print at all gives a 534 or 0 error. I have tried printing using the original report with no improvements as well as proKB suggestions. We are running our database on a pretty beafy server so I don't think that is a issue. Anyone have this problem in the past that has had luck fixing this issue? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Chad
