Vantage and barcodes

Take a look in the files section under Barcoding on this site. I have a doc up there that does the initial setup and setting the min char length to 1 is one of the settings.

I looked in the manual for this scanner (MOTOROLA SYMBOL LS2208) and I cannot find anything that sets that.
I am currently downloading a doc. From the website and hope to find that setting.
If anyone has a barcode that set that I would appreciate it.

Thanks

By default, most scanners won't read a single character. This can be changed via the setup of the scanner. I think the logic is that a bar code with only one character must be a mistake.

Thank you
That solved that issue.

Now I have another problem with barcodes. The reader won't read the assembly barcode.
Is there a fix for that?
I scan the barcode and nothing shows up in the assembly area.

the &"$I" is the code for the tab.

If the barcode is on a crystal reports form you can't reference the database
field directly. You need to set up a formula that uses the cstr function.
Something like:

CStr({ShipHead.PackNum},0)

Then put the formula field on the form.
