My company is in the midst of a transition to Epicor 9 and I have been collecting data for the last month re: Epicor 9. Hi All,

We are considering trying Epicor 9 (instead of Vantage 8).

Have any of you come across bugs / annoyances with Epicor 9? (I have seen a few so far)

I would like to compile a list of bugs / annoyances that people are encountering in Epicor 9 and approach Epicor with it to see if / when the bugs are going to be fixed.

Hopefully this will help others (not just us).

If you could reply with semi-detailed lists of Epicor 9 bugs / annoyances, it'd be greatly appreciated.

I have contacted a couple of people offline to do the very same thing. If
you like, I'll be happy to accept the bugs here, search for dups, and get
back to the group with a full list.

9.04.504 is on the doorstep so maybe we'll want to wait to see what gets
fixed and vice versa.

Hi Mark,

I dont have any so far, but I know a few have talked about bugs in the financials and there is supposed to be a patch in 30 days.

A bug to some mayu not even cover the processes that we use if you know what I mean.

Would it be possible for the list so far as we need to decide in the next couple of days if we are going to go to E9?

Chris, others may have already responded but here are a few to add to the list. You can also download the PDF for bug fixed in 503B to view what the latest patches are updating if you have an Epicweb account

Journal Entry - Paste Insert does not validate for wrong GL Account. Clicking save does not report an error. When you try to post you will get an error message. Supposed to be fixed in 504 slated for May 11.

Receiving to Inspection for Serialized parts does not require serial numbers to be entered. Supposed to be fixed in 504

Serial Number Transfer and Serial Maintenance. Selecting Customer Sold To brings up Customer Ship To field. No date for fix yet

I did not know version 8 was being sold any more. Also by the time you
go live version 9 will probably be good to go.
