Vantage - Hand Held Resolution

Chris,

 

On a recent project we had a similar issue, where the screen display on a new handheld only filled a quarter of the screen and all text was very small. We got a patch from Epicor to fix it. The patch came directly from their barcode folks, not from Support.

How are you starting up Epicor on the hand held units?  I have a shortcut to a batch file in my "start up" folder that starts epicor automatically.  I specifically call that particular .mfgsys file in the batch file.  Adding that line to the .mfgsys file is what solved it for us.

Hi All

Happy New Year.

We are using 9.04.505C.

Our old Intermec CN3 hand helds are failing fast so we have some new CN51 units.

However when we RDP to connect to Epicor HH from the CN51, the Epicor menu appears tiny in the middle of the screen.

I seem to recall a way where you can set the resolution on the Epicor Hand Held menus.

Does anyone had any suggestions?

Near the botton of the file, find Compression Threshold Value and add this line before it.

"<Scale value="2.0" />"


Example:

There should always be a User Settings section just add the key/value there since it’s not already

You will need to edit the .mfgsys file in the Client/Config folder
 
Near the botton of the file, find Compression Threshold Value and add this line before it.

Example:

Chris,

How are you starting up Epicor on the hand held units?  I have a shortcut to a batch file in my "start up" folder that starts epicor automatically.  I specifically call that particular .mfgsys file in the batch file.  Adding that line to the .mfgsys file is what solved it for us.



Example:


Echo Off

"C:\Program Files\Epicor Software\Epicor905\Client\MfgSys.exe" /CONFIG=hh14E9.mfgsys -hh
