Vantage61` print error -' Unable to open convmap file '/convma;

Jim,

I recall seeing this error pop up on the list through the years, so I searched through my old files and found that it may relate to the “hosts” file.

Here’s a section I copied from a message from Greg Fuller:

I had a problem with Report Builder also and fixed it by changing the
host file. Win 7 64 has a very large host file and for some reason
report builder would not find the reference to the vantage server if
it's near / at the bottom. I moved the reference to the server up high
on the first page of the host file and report builder started working.
hope this helps.

And someone else posted this in response to a question about that error:

Added an entry to the System32/Driver/etc services file

I also found this when I googled the error:

Cause

The registry key that contains the correct path to the convmap.cp file was installed incorrectly.

The correct registry information should be in:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\\PSC\PROGRESS\10.2B]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\PSC\PROGRESS\10.2B]

However, it is possible the installation left one or both of those keys empty, and put the registry information in the
following key instead:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\\PSC\PROGRESS\10.2Bw]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\PSC\PROGRESS\10.2Bw]

Resolution

1. Export the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\\PSC\ and/or
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\PSC
2. After making sure the 10.2B registry key(s) are empty, delete only the 10.2B key(s), not the entire hive.
3. Rename the 10.2Bw key(s) to 10.2B.
4. Relaunch Report Builder and then the form.

I seem to recall having this error myself and I think I was able to just add or move the HOSTS file entry.  So, I hope this helps!
