6.1 - error message

I'm happy you found it and are back in business!
Something simple like that sure can mess things up.

Happy printing!
Julie

Julie ~

Thanks again for ALL of your suggestions!! :)

We finally found it. Someone had done a new client install and it was pulling the working directory from the wrong place. That messed up everyone else.

We now have it fixed and are happily ready to print a couple of days of invoicing.

Thanks again!!!!

Tricia ~
Is this just happening with invoices? Could it be you have one that is bad?
Maybe delete it and pull it back in to re-invoice?
I remember getting an printing error similiar to that, when we didn't have an available
license, but I'm not sure if it was #534.

It's not an ODBC connection is it?

Good luck!
Julie

Tricia,
I went back and found an old message regarding this from someone on the list along time ago:

If it is a modified crystal report, the error is caused by crystals
ability to locate the correct dbf location.

Have the person who modified the report, open it in print preview mode,
don't print it, and then exit out of Vantage. This creates an xml record
in your temp/working directory.

Now open crystal and open the corresponding crystal report file and
select Database \ Set data source location from the menu.

Browse to your Vantage working directory and select the xml file that
was created by the print preview.

After the connection has been updated, select Database \ Verify Database
from the menu.

You should receive a popup message "Database is up to date"

Save your changes and exit.

Folks,

We are on 6.1. Suddenly getting an Error 534 when trying to print an A/R invoice. There have been no changes to either the form or and update as far as we know. Can anyone provide any direction of where to look or what to do so we can print invoices again??

TIA!!

Can't quite remember the error codes for 6.1 but a good place to start will be if there is a large comment on either the header or line. Make sure the dbf files that 6.1 produces are in the same place the report expected them (sometimes if someone install a new client and the location specified was different to normal then it could affect all). A longer shot is if there's a problem with the local printer driver (if it's only one person affected) - if their default paper size is set to something small and it was intended to come out on Letter or A4 then it will error. Those were the most common ones I used to come across.

Hope that gives you something to look at.
