8.03.305k to 8.03.410 upgrade path?

That progress upgrade not a true upgrade, it’s a second installation of the software, you aren’t going to update what you have, you are going to install a whole new installation of Progress open Edge.

 

That prerequisite for 8.03.400 isn’t talking about what level your DB is at, it is saying you need to have 8.03.400 installed, which is the main software that you will then update to 8.03.410 with the service pack.

ok, that's good news, when I start the begin the installation setup though, it does say two prerequisites that are needed, are that I be on a minimum of 8.04.400 before proceeding? and be on progress. (which I am)

 

Also, since I'm asking, currently on Progress 10.0b. can I upgrade that directly to 10.1b or do I need to upgrade to 10.1a first?

I am working in a test environment, and ultimately trying to get to Version 10. but first need to get up to version 8.03.410. I've currently have the Test environment setup at 8.03.305k which matches our Live Environment.

Can I upgrade directly to version 8.03.410? or do I need to upgrade to version 8.03.400 first?


If I do need to go to 8.03.400 first, can someone direct me to where I can find the Progress download on EpicWeb or provide a link?

The actual version of Service Pack I'm after is 8.03.403A according to the Installation Guide.

You can go directly to 8.03.410, there is no intermediary needed, unlike going from 8.03 400 to 9.05.702A where you will need to use the DUU to do the upgrade to 9.04 first, as well as run 10800 while at the 9.04 level to move transactions to the TranGLC Table.
