8.03.404 - Job information

Actual Labor comes from Shop Employee.
Actual Burden comes from Operation rates configured relationship
between labor and Burden.
Forget to End activity and labor and burden costs continue to accrue.
IF you use setup there are different rates for this and direct types
must be sure to clock into setup on operation.

You must watch closely your units of measure for estimates and qty's
per. If on 8.o you must run build shop load.

If actual labor goes over, there is no load left

Can someone please explain how Vantage calculates the labor transaction
information against a job:
Labor Hrs
Burden Hrs
Load

We created and use machine employees to clock into jobs instead of an
actual employee ID. If the machine employee doesn't get "clocked" out
of Vantage, but the end activity was done, the Burden continues to pick
up the hours not being clocked out. Is this normal?

Thanks
cindy
End Activity just closes the Labor Detail record for the type of labor (Direct, Setup, Indirect) but the employee...until Clocked Out....is still "earning" payroll hours....or Idle time. This would have to be adjusted with Labor Edit.

up the hours not being clocked out. Is this normal?

We are still getting discrepant data as far as labor, burden and
load. How is Vantage calculating these. I don't really understand
where each is coming from in the first place. If we have resources
marked as labor equals burden, when a job is released, they don't
always show up on the schedule with the same amount of time.

There is a "Job Costing: Technical Reference Guide" that you can download
from the EpicWeb. This may help understand the logic on how the labor is
calculated
