9.05700C - MRP Not Processing

A little late on your question but we had this happen a couple years back and found a corrupt sql db. you can run checkdb, we found that the peglink table was corrupted and were able to fix by rebuilding the table from a good backup.

We have not been able to get a successful MRP run, same unfirm jobs keep hanging up until we have to cancel. Occasionally, it will get past the unfirm jobs but hang up on the same part number

MRP logs, server logs, have all been sent to support with no resolution. We have relatively few jobs (both firm and unfirm at anytime, about 1000 active parts. Have run MRP with finite, infinite, multiple servers, full regen, net change, recycled MRP jobs, etc.

Anyone else out there running into MRP hanging up each time?

We had MRP hang just a week after going live (1/2/13) with 700C that we received a one off for under SCR114109 just last month. Our issue was this. We had a sales order for part A. The part A had a requirement for a manufactured part B and it's method contained an operation for a subcontracted operation. Just so happened, part B already had a firm job to make it and an open PO for the subcontracted operation. Seems pretty normal so far, but the hang was caused by the date combinations. If the sales order need by date was in the past and the PO date was in the future, it would lock up every time. In our case, we saw the issue in the MRP logs where the log would stop on the copy BOM step for part A. We then looked for sales orders related to that part and then looked for related POs. We then found that if we removed the PO date, MRP would not hang.
