I paint mini’s out of necessity. I get tired of picking the wrong character because everything is a sea of grey.
The most interesting hobby is being a wildlife soft release site. These are the raccoons we had this past fall. We’re getting ready to have more raccoons and some squirrel’s.
wow… haven’t heard THAT in years. I worked on a tech support team in the mid-90’s that shut down for lunch and we all shot each other up. It’s evolved since then…
We did the same when I worked in the programming department in the 90’s. We’d play first person shooter games on the pc during lunch hour. Great way to spend lunch. Then on the weekends we’d get together and have tournament matches with Halo.
Doom runs well in Javascript…
Should we port it to Epicor? LOL
Now i’m kind of curious if we could have a dataview somehow decide the map layout dynamically.. each screen could be it’s own level!
I remember DOOM. My son (age 3 or 4) was really into Barney the Dinosaur back then.
Someone made a DOOM Mod where the final boss was Barney, singing “I love you, you love me… we’re a happy family” while hurling fireballs at you.
I’m not ashamed to admit that I really enjoyed blowing Barney off the map at the end. I just had to be careful not to run it when my toddler might wander in… “Daddy, why are you killing Barney?”
DOOM is awesome, lost a lot of sleep as a kid staying up all night playing it.
Also get a chuckle with all the strange things they get doom running on.
Its like the old “but, will it run crysis” meme that was around for ages. (For those that don’t know, Crysis, when it came out, was a notoriously hard game to run and it would humble even the mightiest of battle stations. It took another couple of generation of computer hardware before most people had a PC that could handle it well)
And now we are in the age of “Scientists have recreated a complete fly brain in a computer and it can interact with a virtual environment”
Yeah.. yeah.. yeah.. cool, but… can it run DOOM?
