Automated process - matching order line/rel to PO line/rel when a PO line has been deleted

We send POs to our company in Asia via email where they are manually entered. They then send us a spreadsheet, about once a month, with the orders in them that we copy and paste to a screen that does the import into Epicor. If a PO line is deleted then the line numbers between the order and PO do not match. Has anyone run into this and if so, did you find a way to load the orders without manually intervention. Thanks Peggy

Are you using DMT to import that Excel file?

There are a few tricks when using DMT with a Combined import (meaning that data for the header, lines, and releases are imported all at once).

The PONum, Line, and RelNum are automatically generated and DMT will increment each based on the changes from row to row.

If the Supplier ID and/or PurPoint differ from the prior row, then a new PONum is generated. Otherwise the row belongs to the PONum from the prior row.

If the Partnum changes, then the LineNum will be incremented. Otherwise, the line is considered a new release on the same PONum and Line.

Thanks but we are loading orders, not POs. The orders were manually created from the POs, we want the lines/rel to match but if a line is deleted from the PO they cant skip a line when they enter the order. We are trying to update PO recieving.
