We are moving to barcoding and will be using the Intermec SR30 scanners. I have used Intermec scanners in a previous position (both retail and manufacturing). They hold up quite well and are quite durable. Also, our Epicor hardware consultant recommends this brand and model.

We have tested these with reading the barcoding on the Job Traveler and also our employee badges. It was simple to set up. I am buying 40 more of them for a price of $205 each to be used throughout our plants.

I have used Symbol LS2208 wedge scanners for about 10 years. I think we've
thrown out maybe 2 of them in that time.

They're very durable. Our environment is a machine shop, lots of oily hands and
drops to the floor, and they seem to keep on working. They cost between 180 and
200 dollars. Maybe cheaper now, haven't bought one in a couple years.

What type-manufacturer and make/model have you had success with?

We want to implement 2 barcode scanning steps. One at the MES login from te
employee badge and the other at the time of receiving against the PO/Line #.

What type of scanner have you had success with?

We prefer using a wand for the MES login - scan badge, then the tracker. And
also for the PO report.

Hi,

We use Honeywell 4600G (and have a couple of the heavier duty versions).

We have been using them for two years and have had absolutely no problems.

They are 2D scanners too, so very accurate and quick.

Thanks.

The best, IMO.
