Barcoding and shop floor data collection

Our company resently implemted Vantage 6.1, we are looking to start shop floor data collection and bar code scanning. I am impleted BCDC before with other systems, we would like to visit a site that is doing this activity with Vantage 6.1.
Is there any sites near Ohio, that would entertain this idea.

Anyone know why?

I can scan a 15, 312, etc, but not a single 1.

Thanks, Todd. What I figured out was to put a zero in front
of the 1 ( 01 ), and when I scanned it it came out to a 1 in
Vantage.

Try expanding the font size. Barcodes, and Code 39 in
particular, are sensitive to ratios of height to width.
Even with the start/stop asteriks a single "1" would be
pretty narrow. There are also some rules about "quiet
space" on each end of a barcode and the scanner might be
cobfusing a narrow code with the quiet space. Just a
thought.

Just a note:
Our bar code scanners could only scan 3 characters or greater
out-of-the-box, and had to be re-programmed to scan 1 or 2 characters.
