Do you have line of sight between the locations? There are some laser datacom links that can do 100Mbps for a mile even in heavy rain. Might be expensive but could pay off versus T1 links over time - and provide a lot better performance.

Subject: [Vantage]
We are moving our affiliate (sister) company into a facility about a mile
away. This company has 8-10 users. Besides Vantage, all Internet
Connectivity, spyware monitoring, and other system drives are accessed
through our main server.
My question for the group is if anyone has experience in remote connectivity
with Vantage. We could lease dedicated T-1 lines, however, we have seen
performance degradation since we upgraded from 5.2 to 6.1 in our other
remote location. Is anyone else using T-1's for remote connectivity?
Is anyone out there using a dedicated Terminal Services Server for remote
connectivity? How do you have it setup?
Option C is to split the database into two databases and just have a
seperate Vantage install. Has anyone done this?
I would appreciate any feedback you can give.
