Can an editable dashboard be added into a new added sheet in a customization?

Hello,

I have created an editable dashboard with about 10 fields for info, and an updatable udfield for a date.
I have tested the dashboard and it seemed to work as expected.

Adding the dashboard into a added sheet in my custo, the editable feature does not seem to work anymore.
Is what I am trying to do should work? If so, what is the proper way? (no need to publish or make a link for this time… unless such a link is necessary for it to work? )

or is it normal that this should not work embedded into an added sheet?

Did you use the wizard to add it, and if so, when prompted for the dashboard, does it ask for a dashboard ID, or the DLL of the deployed dashboard?

Yes of course, I used the wizard…I added the dashboard ID (not the dll deployed version… ) unless it needs a deployed version ?

I hope it wasn’t implied that I had the solution for you. Just gathering data to help brainstorm this.

I’m going to guess that since the wizard asks for the Dashboard ID, it’s being implemented like a runtime dashboard - which won’t do updates.

Yes, updatable dashboard only works as deployed as dashboard assemblies. So add the UDASH to a menu. When you run the sheet wizard and add the dashboard select ‘AppBuilder Panel’ and select the menu item for the UDASH.
