Can I use SQL to access the Progress database?

Any Vantage backend DB may be accessed using SQL syntax through an ODBC
connection. You may also issue SQL commands through the native DB tools;
Query Analyzer for SQL Server or SQL Explorer for Progress/OE.

Subject: [Vantage] Can I use SQL to access the Progress database?

It appears I could use SQL to view files in the database.

How can I get to a point where I can run the SQL commands?

I am new at this, hoping to go live Jan 2, 2007. Any hints or gotchas
before going live would be appreciated.
