Can you stop a Paste Update

Can you stop a Paste Update? If so, How? It doesn’t show up in System Monitor. We have restarted Epicor and it is still running in the background it appears.

Have you stopped the individual Epicor client that did the paste update?

Yes, user reports changes still being affected afterwards.

I would also make sure to kill the user’s session from the app server (Epicor admin console)

Side note, is there an limit to the number of rows for a paste Update before it slows down? I can’t find that info anywhere.

Not much of a expert with paste insert. So I apologize I don’t know

I hear ya! Same boat here!

It would depend on what is being updated on the form. Some thing like updating order lines is more than just the line info. a changed line also needs to recalc things like order totals, and possibly recalc release info to.

I agree. This is the email for UPS ShipTo’s for them to get the emails about delivery. We are just updating the email. Shouldn’t be a very hard process for sure.

One thing I would do is to make sure you only include the fewest column needed. Usually the keys and the data you want to change. If your clipboard data contains some field that is the same as the data already there, it still may cause some BO’s to be called.

Also, personalize the grid to show all the keys, and the data to be changed in the left most column. And sort by a key field. If the list was sorted by name, updating the name on a record may resort the rows. Then all the following data on the clipboard would be misaligned with the records in the grid
