Cannot close job due to missing serial numbers

We have a job that we cannot close due to missing 2 serial numbers. We checked the Job Tracker and saw that 12 serial numbers were assigned to the job but Serial Numbers Assignment only showed 10. I will appreciate anyone can help to explain. Thanks

If you go to Serial Number Maintenance, do the 2 missing serial numbers show a job number there?

Hi Anh, these two serials - are they appearing in Serial Number Maintenance/Tracker?
image they’ve appeared to have disconnected from the Serial Number Assignment screen so my worry is that perhaps they’ve been unassigned?

Hi @akhieu we had this happen to us once as well. The end result was support providing us with a Data Fix program. They discovered the serial numbers were not assigned correctly in the transaction. Below was their response to our case:

We have received feedback from DevSupport regarding the scenario reported.
There was a SNTran record for a Serial Number that was shipped and had a TranType of Unassign. That caused the count to be wrong on the quantity completed.

They provided a program file with the instructions to run it accordingly.

Hi,

These two serial numbers are showing in Serial Number Maintenance and Tracker, they have been input manually using Serial Numbers Assignment. Our customer services were able to select these two s/n to create their packing slip for shipping, that is why they have shipped status. The other 10 s/n were assigned much later using the same method, same job#, and they were gotten selected and shipped. I was wondering how 12 s/n were entered with same method, assigned to same job, but only 10 were in the record. Also the two missing s/n had never been unassigned, the case of s/n being unassigned only happen when there is a typo in it.

Thanks
I hope it would clarify some of your concerns.
