We are using two different process sets to manage our MRP.
Sun - Thu (10pm): ‘Process MRP’ runs in ‘Recycle MRP Jobs’ mode as it runs MUCH faster (we don’t need to regen all unfirm jobs EVERY nite).
Fri - Sat (8pm): 'Process MRP runs in ‘Regenerate MRP Jobs’ mode to give us a full refresh of Jobs.
NOTE: we are on CST.
Last week the ‘Recycle’ version did not execute on Friday. I suspected that was true because 10pm CST is actually 3am UTC, and the ‘Recycle’ mode (Sun-Thu) isn’t designated to execute on Friday.
We adjusted the schedule so that ‘Recycle’ is scheduled to run at 10pm CST Fri (1am UTC Sat), hoping this would allow it to run Thu nite but then be prevented from running on Fri (Sat UTC).
RESULT: MRP attempted to run both schedules last nite, so they both conflicted and both failed.
Does anyone understand what Epicor looks at for schedule execution: local time vs. UTC?
