I’ve added a Context Menu Item for Method Tracker (menu ID SEGO3100) to the Part.PartNum field but when I try to use it, I keep getting Engineering Workbench not Method Tracker.
Has anyone have the same experience and found a resolution?
I’m on 10.1.400.20 if that makes a difference in your reply
I can’t find the post that explains it, but you have to go into the Ice.Menu table and add the arguments -formName BOMTrackerForm in from of your customization name. If you don’t have a customization, I think you just put the argument in. I made an updateable BAQ to put in in there. There isn’t a way that I know of to add this on the front end. We’ll call this the side door method with the back door being a SQL update.
Edit: this works for menu items, I haven’t tried if for context items. I’m guessing that you will have to make a process in the menu maintenance to link it to instead of the stock one. But I’m not sure.
And actually, now that I think of it, It’s already in the system. You just have to click on a revision, not a part number so it doesn’t work in a lot of places.
