Is there a way to assign a “solo” task (not necessarily in a task set) to a user? This would be a CRM task.
We get information on new contacts from various sources. We want to add those contacts to Epicor and assign the relevant salesperson to follow up with the contact.
As far as I can see, CRM tasks kick in when there is a quote involved, but I don’t really want to create a record in the quote table just to let someone know that a phone call must be made or an email sent.
I am going to go back through the CRM documentation, but am putting this question out here in case anyone has found a way to handle it.
I could create a one-task CRM Task set, but the question remains of how to automatically kick off that task set when a new contact is added
