Logicity has a product, too.

Todd,

I also looked and tried CRD but it was too expensive since I only needed to
automate the sending of 2 reports via email and pdf. I found a super
simple software called Easy view. A company called easy street software
makes it. Their website is
http://www.easystreetsoftware.net/Products/EasyView_Main.php. <http://www.easystreetsoftware.net/Products/EasyView_Main.php.> We¹ve been
using it for several months and it has worked out great. Super cheap too.

Our Materials Management Director is fairly adept at Crystal Reports and would like to automate the running of several reports. Possibly even get them to run and create separate PDF files or emails at specific points in a report.

She has found a product from ChristianStevens called CRD that seems to do all this but is fairly spendy ($3K Standard, $10K Premium-with bursting).

Anyone out there using this or can recommend something similar that is lower cost? We're frozen on Vantage 6.10 so options via Epicor are not available. I think I could tackle the automated running part with distributed reports and AT Scheduler but it would not be as "user driven" as I would like.

Thanks,
Todd Caughey

Todd,
We have used Logicity for the last couple of years and it does the job just fine. Creates pdf files in the folder of your choice and I belive it comes in a free and paid version which offers additional options. We opted for the paid version and it was less than $100.00 (I think)

Todd,

I've used CviewManager for 2 companies that I've worked for and it's a
great product. Take a look at this website to see what it can do.

If you have any questions regarding this let me know, but as you can see
its fairly inexpensive.

Thanks,

Travis

We have used Logicity (and earlier versions) for a number of years with
very good success. We have a number of reports that run overnight and
during the day both emailing and saving PDFs to file. Never tried to do
any of it at specific points in a report.
