Run Crystal reports on a schedule?

Can this be done similarly with 8.03? I'd love to see an example that shows me how to run and e-mail distribute via e-mail a BAQ report in PDF format end-to-end.

Vantage 6.1

Crystal Reports Exporter (crexport) from RainforestNet works great for our nightly reports. A command line exporter that's simple to learn and easy to use. It converts to PDF and can email too, but I prefer to use BLAT emailer.

I would not recommend Crystal Command by CrystalDesk.

Now I need to schedule some simple v6.1 BAQs. ???

Does anyone else have a method for running custom Crystal reports
automatically or on a schedule?

Response from Vantage Help Desk:
Unfortunately, this is not possible with custom reports. There is an
enhancement request 25477MPS for this for a future release, but no
target version has been indicated by development.
Question from ddelano@...:
Is there a function in Vantage that I can use to schedule a Crystal
Report (custom report, not Vantage report) to run on a schedule?
When you say Custom Report, are you indicating an ODBC report or a BAQ report? If it is a BAQ report they can be scheduled by adding them to a process set or submitting them to a schedule. You would either want to physically print them or submit them for processing only.

This is assuming you are running 8.0xxxxxx.

If you want to actually execute a specific report and, say for instance,
export to PDF in a particular folder, unfortunately your only option is
a Macro Recorder. There are several freeware, shareware and purchased
utilities out there. I've used various ones in the past and they all
pretty much do the same thing.

You can use Windows Scheduler on the server or a client to run it.

Check out this for more info:

As a tip, try to use keyboard commands as much as possible (instead of
mouse clicks).

The thing about these various Crystal "delivery" apps is they will not
work with Vantage-style BAQ reports..... Unless I'm missing something.
I looked at these in the past and they only worked well with ODBC-style
reports.

Still true?
