When printing 2-sided Crystal Reports (from Epicor 9) from a Windows 7 machine to a Sharp MX-2600N, the collating does not work.
I have done some testing on this issue and found that if you choose to staple it, it will collate by default. However, if you don't choose staple but set everything else identically, it will not collate even though the checkbox for it is set.
Upon further research, here are my findings. It is not necessarily a "printer" problem.
1. From Crystal Reports Viewer: Stapled, Collates Fine. Not Stapled, Collates FAILED.
2. From Microsoft Word: Stapled, Collates Fine. Not Stapled, Collates Fine.
3. From PDF (compiled from Word Document): Stapled, Collates Fine. Not Stapled, Collates Fine.
4. From PDF (compiled from Crystal Reports Viewer): Stapled, Collates Fine. Not Stapled, Collates Fine.
Looks like a collate issue within the Crystal Reports Viewer app.
It was failing on our Sharp MX-2600, so I tried it on our Sharp AR-M317 where it also failed. I tested it on our Lanier LD220 and it worked fine.
So, it doesn't work when ONLY WHEN:
Windows 7 AND Crystal Reports Viewer AND Sharp Copier (AR-M317 or MX-2600)
This morning from Epicor's web site (Epicweb), I downloaded and install "Crystal Reports XI R2 .Net 3.0 Runtime SP6.4" and installed it, but we are still having the same problem.
Does anyone have this same problem or a similar problem or maybe have a solution? I'm running out of things to try... Any help would be useful and greatly appreciated.
Thanks! Chris
