Crystal reports version conflict - Ideas?

I had the same thing happen. User who print crystal report forms out of
vantage were wondering what happened to
the data. Turned out that ABRA ships the V7 CR service patch at level 1.
All of my Vantage CR reports have been
processed with patch 2. I spoke to Best tech support and they suggested
installing ABRA first, and then vantage
(to write over the dll that is causing the problem) I am in the process of
doing this. In the mean-time, I had to uninstall
ABRA from those users that are print crystal reports out of Vantage.
Uninstalling ABRA fixed the problems on the
clients.

You have a user who is printing Abra reports (CR 8.5) and Vantage AP checks
(CR 7) from the same PC?
Separate PC's may have to be used since your falling behind in Vantage
upagrades.
I don't think uninstalling Crystal will remove everything.
You might try contacting Crystal Reports to see what they say.
Also Abra includes crystal with the product but I don't think it's exactly
the save Crystal you buy off the shelf.

Todd,

Uninstalling Crystal 8.5 may not have removed all the newer dll's. I had to
manually delete some when I reverted back to 8.0 from 8.5.

I sort of had this when I tried to go from 8 to 8.5 then wanted to go back to 8. The uninstall does not remove a bunch of DLLs. I had to do a registry hack too to clean out references to 8.5. It took a good week or struggling to remove 8.5 completely. I'll check old list messages because I think I had a list of steps posted here once.
