Daylight Savings Time and scheduled tasks

I have our shop bells scheduled for various times throughout the day (on NT 4.0 server) and if these were not right I would be very promptly informed. Actually I was in the plant several times today when the bells went as scheduled.

Thad Jacobs posted the info below back in Sept. 2001. The situation is not exactly the same but it might be related.

an excerpt:

"A bug in a Windows library file, MSVCRT.DLL, causes Windows to think that
Daylight Savings Time starts on April 8th during any year when April 1st
falls on a Sunday. Microsoft has corrected this file in recent updates.
However, many Windows applications have their own version of this library
file, and these need to be updated by each software vendor."

"Ninety-nine percent of all packaged applications... can be fixed really
simply by downloading a new version, or a patched version, of the DLL," said
Chris Hargarten, a product manager on Microsoft's Visual C++ team."

I guess the question is.... do the latest vantage and progress patches
contain the corrected version of MSVCRT.DLL?

Subject: [Vantage] Daylight Savings Time and scheduled tasks

I have multiple Vantage backup command files on our Vantage server and have
them set up to run using Scheduled Tasks in NT Server 4.0. None of these
scheduled tasks have run today and I suspect it has something to do with the
change to Daylight Savings Time. I know a similar topic appeared on this
list about this time two years ago and the problem then was a bug in a
Microsoft dll. Is anyone else having any problems with this now?
