We’ve recently converted the legacy EWA configurator in DEV environment to a Kinetic version however I cannot determine how to deploy and use within ECC. We are experiencing severe browser performance issues with the EWA configurators, primary with Apple products and/or Safari browsers. We have been told that transitioning to the Kinetic versions will resolve these performance issues, but to date I cannot deploy for use in ECC.
Any guidance on how to deploy the Kinetic configurator via ECC would be greatly appreciated.
sorry, but i dont have the exact answer because I have not yet tried this… but in the case of the new Kinetic Configurator, there should not be any reason to “Deploy to EWA”… the configurator is already web enabled, so it is just a matter of it being linked correctly. I thought that when you approved the Kinetic configurator, that it would automatically be enabled, but I could be wrong.
I am going on vacation, so I cannot investigate further for another 1.5 weeks, but I would strongly suggest that you reach out to Tech Support on this one. It should not be hard for this to work.
We are trying to do the same. We were advised we needed the latest version of ECC and Kinetic, which we now have. It looks like we need to pass a URL to a Kinetic REST Call in the configurator configuration on ECC but have no clue what this is.
Still waiting for EPICOR support to be able to give me an answer on this. I have tried the URL that you suggested but it does not work (I just get a blank page) so maybe I am further at the mercy of the support team.
Hi All, I would love to know if anyone was successful in deploying Product configurator in ECC. We are currently in implementation phase of ECC, which has stretched out over 12 months. We were told last year configurator will not work in our ECC due to our head office firewall rules. I’m interested to know if everyone is up & running now from this thread.
oh you can ruin anything with firewall rules Assuming all components can talk to each other, base functionality works fine as far as I know. I’m sure i’d be much busier if it was entirely broken.
