Thank you all for the amazing collaboration on this subject. When I first read this, my thought was the same as others who said “We cant delete files like that”… but now it makes sense that it COULD be happening. Now we are on the hunt for making this incredibly complex set of interfaces between applications work the way we (as a greater community) desire.
Thank you for collaborating and partnering to make Kinetic a better product.

(Sorry to revive this thread). Has there been any further update on whether Kinetic can be be updated to handle the drag-and-drop action as ‘copy’ rather than ‘move’?
Just tested today in version 2023.1.10 and this behaviour looks to have been fixed. Not sure if I missed it in release notes or something but ‘drag-and-drop’ now copies the email instead of deleting it.

Does anyone know the official version that this was corrected on? We are on 2023.1.10 and it seems users are still having the issue.

You could change the transfer method and that would prevent it from “moving” the file.
