E9 Installation

Babbler

I'm right with you creating a 905 test server. I get the exact same
error. The work around is. You have to setup the 32 bit OpenEdge on you
Admin computer and use the Open Edge PET from their to access the DB's
and App servers. Then you install the Admin console on your admin
workstation. Open the Admin console and add Epicor server. I'm stuck on
the next step 7.2.8 of the install manual where you add the appservers.
My test connection fails every time.

Subject: [Vantage] E9 Installation

So I am trying out an E9.05 installation, both progress 32bit and 64bit
and
having a couple different problems that I am not 100% sure how to get
around.

1- On the 64 bit installation it is Windows 2008 R2 64-bit with the
64-bit
media from Epicor. When I do the installation everything appears to go
fine,
however I cannot start the appservers once I have everything installed,
the
DB appears to start up with no problem. When I try to run the Admin
Tools
since that should be able to connect to the DB, I get an error that
says:

"Could not load ICU library icudate-psc.dll. (14265)"

I have no idea how to fix this, I suspect it has something to do with
collation. However in the logs, the only error I see while trying to
start
up the appservers is this one:

"P-003924 T-002392 1 AS -- (Procedure: 'as/startup.p' Line:718) Invalid
version, 1008 (expected 17391) in object file
M:\Epicor\Epicor905\Server\Bpm\DataTrigger.r. (2888)"

I forget if there are different log that logs errors from trying to
start
the Admin Tools.

Because I can't get the Appserver to start, I can't access the Admin
Console
so I am not sure if I will have the same problem as this one....

2- On the 32 bit installation on Windows 2008 R2 64 bit, I can get it
installed but when I started up the DB adn then the appserver, it was
fine.
I connected via the Admin Console, added the license file, then created
a
company, but when I try to connect with the Admin Tools, I get an error
telling me it's an invalid company. I decided to do a restore of a blank
DB
and then re-apply the license file and redo the company etc, but at the
same
time I applied the service pack, patch, and hot fix, and now I am
getting
the error in the appserver logs telling me:

P-004760 T-003156 1 AS -- (Procedure: 'manager/Session.p' Line:0) ** CRC
for Currency does not match CRC in manager/Session.p. Try recompiling.
(1896)

If anyone happens to have any insight it would be greatly appreciated at
the
moment.
