ECM Upgrade Down Time v22.2.109 to 23.1.58

He finished emailing me for an appointment time this morning… ugh.

Mine is Case CS0003724116.

As for Java - looks like it has little to do with the Java runtime installed at the OS level, but rather the Java JDK version installed during the Solr install.

I’ll get our cases updated one I talk to the guy again.
Thanks!

Just got off the phone with Support. Looks like the proper sequence before upgrading is to do the following:

  • Stop the Solr Service.
  • Rename the Solr Folders to “.OLD”
    • c:\Program Files\Astria Solutions Group\Eclipse Solr
    • c:$\ProgramData\Eclipse\SolrSC (this is the default, but you may have to find your custom path)
  • Uninstall Solr

Should be able to simply run the upgrade as usual at this point.

The tech is going to try and reproduce it with the files from the .68 patch to prove that is the issue - and hopefully update our cases when he confirms it.

Looks like they are aware and have ‘fixed’ things with this giant notification on the downloads page

Downloads (epicor.com)

The latest is also 23.1.62 now, so I wonder if the things we did manually are now built in.

I would hope so!
