Employee has been setup in employee maintenance with ID 4011 similar to other employees not experiencing the error. The employee goes to Prod Mgmt–>Data Coll–>G.O.–>Clock In and gets the message window “The employee ID is not valid or the employee is not active”. Please advise on what would trigger this message. It is not necessarily an error since it has no “details” button, only an OK button. I have followed the KB article for this exact message, but no change.

Is the employee’s status on their employee record “active?”
Yes. I entered their user account myself; and they are using Epicor. I also check the Employee Maintenance screen to confirm Status is active.
Are you Multi-Company if so make sure you are not signed into a different Company. You can switch Companies and plants by right-clicking on the MES Window somewhere.

We have 1 Company, multiple sites, but the employee has access to only 1 site within the company.
Gotcha ok if he is using the full-client he may need his Employee ID Associated to his UserID… under User Account Security Maintenance you can link the Employee ID to his User ID.
They may need to logout/login
