That's correct. The factor is completely ignored and only the UM is used. We decided to convert everything to EA except the obvious like Ft, In, Yd, Oz etc. Packages, Bags, Reels, Rolls are all converted to Ea. Future PO's may need these entered with the appropriate factor.
We've left it up to our Purchasing and Engineering Managers how to set up the UM Classes and UM's. Sometimes they specify a UM conversion in a line comment. But the Open PO's at time of conversion should be checked.
