Hello Experts - Opening job entry, either by accessing directly or by using right-click in project entry/related causes Epicor to hang for a second (with the spinning blue circle of death), and it just shuts down. No error messages. This hasn’t happened before and seems to be just on my system. We had a major power outage yesterday, the electric company hit something and the whole town was down for about 1.5 hours. The server Epicor is on didn’t want to start correctly, and all users who had automatic sign on enabled had to re-log in. I’ve rest a ton of passwords! Can my issue with job entry be related to that, or do I have another issue?
Is job entry customized?
Have you tried clearing client cache?
Yes, cleared the cache, removed the C:Program Date/Epicor/app01-808 file, also rebooted my whole system. No luck so far.
I should also mention that yes, job entry does have some customizations, but nothing crazy. I do not have any personlizations on this screen.
Does the base form launch?
No - I removed the customization and Epicor still crashed
If it’s happening on the base form, I’d engage with support.
You may want to check the database to make sure it’s not corrupted.
It’s only happening on my system though - if it were a corruption, wouldn’t the other users be seeing this as well?
I checked the database and everything appears to be fine.
I would try a complete re-install of Epicor on your PC
I logged on as another user on my PC and job entry comes up fine, so it’s something with my account. I will delete my customizations and see if that helps.
Well, that did it - I removed any personalizations that referenced the job screens, restarted Epicor, and now the job entry screen appears as it should. Thanks for all the suggestions!
