HELP - Vantage lock up on client install

Dina,

Start REGEDIT and then first thing back up ht registry. (Pick File then
Export.)

Then go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACINE
SOFTWARE

Right click on the key PSC and delete it.

Now you should be able to reinstall Progress.

Subject: [Vantage] HELP - Vantage lock up on client install

I need the groups exptertise again!

I was installing a vantage client when the system locked up and quit
responding.

I was able to use task manager and end task then rebooted the
computer. The problem now is when I try to reinstall the client - I
get an error stating progress already installed, to uninstall it and
try again. But when I go to uninstall I can an error stating
progressunstall is not a valid file or has been corrupted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need to get this computer
running in the next few hours.

Thanks in Advance -
Dina

You need to delete all references to Progress in your windows registry. If
your not sure how to do this give me a call.
This is one area that Progress really needs to improve. Even after a normal
install, often we can't uninstall the Progress software.
