How do I set a variable if a menu is launched read only?

My understanding of your post is you have a custom app… let’s call it MyApp.

You have (2) menus built from that app.

MyApp
MyAppReadOnly

When you’re in Quote Entry, and you click your button, you want to launch MyApp.

But if you’re in Quote Tracker, and you click your button, you want to launch MyAppReadOnly.

Is this correct?

What you need to do, on your Quote Entry button event is to include a condition. I would base this on the value of TransView.SysReadOnly.

In Quote Entry… TransView.SysReadOnly = false.
In Quote Tracker… TransView.SysReadOnly = true.

So, your button to launch your app from Quote Entry/Tracker should have a condition of:

{TransView.SysReadOnly} === false

True branch… app-open MyApp
False branch… app-open MyAppReadOnly
