How to change BAQ owning company

Does anyone know how to change a BAQ “Owning Company”.

I created a BAQ in Company1. When I save the BAQ the “Owning Company” shows Company1.

I tried to export the BAQ and import into Company2, but the BAQ just imports over the existing BAQ for Company1

I tried to use Solution manager to export and import the BAQ and I checked the “Only Target Current Company” checkbox - however, the BAQ is brought in as being Owned by Company1.

How can I assign the “Owning Company” so that my BAQ shows Company2?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I’ve always had to make duplicates of BAQs in each company where needed.
e.g. compay1.baq, company2.baq, etc…

Unless Multi-Company Direct Server Process is running - which allows sharing of BAQs across companies.
But… setting up and maintaining was not for the faint of heart.
At least the last time I used it in E9… but I haven’t had to use it in E10 yet.

I would assume if you take ownership (change author) from a diff company, that might work.

Mr. Chris: Thanks for the suggestion. I get an error message:

Drats, foiled again.
<Takes off consultant hat>
I guess if one was brave enough (aka had a copy) you could attempt to mod it in the SQL or a UBAQ
<Puts consultant hat back on>

Mr. Chris: Sorry I can’t hear you without your hat on

NOOOOOOO stop it negative 200 points for @Chris_Conn for suggesting SQL edit… SIGH

@DaveOlender export the BAQ , change the extension of the exported file to .zip, open the zip file open in-there there are several files, DynamicQuery and DynamicQueryDesign file
open these with notepad++ replace the company in these files (everywhere) with the company you want
Save it
Re-Name the file back to .BAQ, and Import into Epicor.

DO NOT DO THIS IN PRODUCTION !
