Insite manifest

We created alternate versions of the Epicor Packing Slip report to replace Insite reports that needed changes to the data elements.  This gives us full control over how data shows up on documents like the Commercial Invoice, and in addition we get Print Preview functionality.  We've also seen problems where the Insite documents print 18 copies of the same thing, which we were not able to solve or control.

<p>Insite itself though comes with it&#39;s own Crystal Reports, and those are the ones we are trying to modify but haven&#39;t had any luck. Maybe we need to modify the Epicor &#39;out of the box&#39; shipping forms?</p>

Tanya, we had that issue once as well, but Insite support helped us through it - apparently it is a well known issue for them.  Something to do with 64-bit printer drivers or something like that.

Still, I'm very intrigued by the solution of ditching Insite and just using a modified pack slip report style in Epicor and thank you for the ideas!

One reason we modified the packslip for the commercial invoice is for the shipments of RMA’s internationally.

You need a dollar value and our’s is 1 dollar. Our Sales Order shows 0 dollars and that is what is passed to Insite.

It was just easier to have all forms print with a modified version of the packslip.

Does anyone have more information about how to add data to a report in Insite Manifest?

The cosmetics of their reports can be changed, but if data is to be added to the report, Agile has to do it and of course they charge to do it.

This is why the Tables in the reports are not in our schema and also why the reports are looking at a .xsd file. It’s their own program that is talking to Epicor’s database, then it writes that info to a .xsd file that crystal then looks for and reads.

I'm not sure I understand your need. I've used Insite for almost 10 years and have never used one of their forms. One of my reasons for doing so is precisely what you mention below:  the segregation of data and inability to get a field from Epicor's db.Â

What are you looking to accomplish or modify?
