Internet 7.0 will not display vantage help

Should have been more clear on that reply....if Vantage is running ON YOUR PC...close & restart. Not the server...just the client.

I had this issue in January. In addition to the Epicor KB details about the ItssRestrictions key in the registry I had to do the following (after considerable suggestions from this group):

Much of this is detailed in Microsoft
KB896358 article.

1. Create Key...[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp\1.x\HHRestrictions]
Note:
The HHRestrictions key is different from the previously suggested
ItssRestrictions key
2. Add to this a String Value...UrlAllowList
with the path to the help folder where the .chm resides
Mapped
drive letter might not work so use \\server\epicor\mfgsys61\help
format as the value where "server" is your server name
3. If Vantage is running close & restart

The .chm file mentioned above is the compiled help for Vantage. The symptom I had was that help would open and browse the subjects but the "info" panel on the right side would not display webish content. The above registry hack was the only thing that got it working.

Note for 8.0/8.03 the path would obviously be different.
