Have you looked at the LINKED tables tab in RDD - to see if you can add the field there?

Karen,
Yes, I tried to link it multiple ways but always get the same error message. Initially I made sure the data link was identical to the relationship that was set up in the Report Data Definition, but then tried other permutations, always getting the same error in the end.

Thanks,
Ed

After you manually added it in Crystal, did you make sure the data links are correct between the tables?

We are trying to add a field from the JobHead table to the Job Pick List report in Crystal, but Crystal will not recognize the table as having been added. The Report Data Definition is working and the JobHead is in the XML file, but even though the table is displayed in the Data Expert in Crystal, Crystal will not automatically pull the table in after refreshing the data. If we try manually to add the JobHead to the available tables, Crystal displays an error 'Failed to retrieve data from the database'. Any ideas where we are going wrong?
