I noticed that the 'constrain' field in the part master form is not available.

I know what I need to do now.

When marking the material as constrained in the part master, the scheduling engine will not begin the operation until the material is available.

Is the leadtime in the Job material line or just in the part master?



If you change it into a stock part. Material constraints do not take
effect unless you have APS and the part is marked as Constrained
material

It's in the part master file, and when I create the job, that information is bought into the job material line.

So, if it is a non-stock part, it should tell me that job can start in twenty days? Or do I still APS?

To my knowledge, you are right , if it is a non stock (Purchase Direct
Item) it does not need APS and should apply the 20 day constraint.. That
said I have never consistently tested it.
