Job Taveler Sub-Assemblies checkbox

I am trying to tweak our custom Job Traveler such that the Sub-Assemblies subreport will print for the 0-level PN all the time. In other words, the section for issuing sub-assemblies will always be there, but not the materials/ops for those sub-assemblies - unless we check the Sub-Assemblies checkbox in the Job Traveler Report print dialog - then we want the whole recipe.

I am having trouble figuring out how the aforementioned checkbox works in the first place. I don’t see it with other report parameters.

Bumping this old thread in the hopes that 3 years later someone knows the answer, as this is exactly what I’m trying to accomplish
