Go to Part Entry and search.
Select some parts with the check boxes.
Click OK.
Now the crumb bar only contains the parts you selected and you can use it to select the other ones. 
Definitely NOT AS good, but nice to find it again. 
What I’d love to learn is how to re-create that functionality in a custom dashboard.
I have a dashboard that searches parts and is currently single-select. I would love to attempt to make it multi-select, but not sure how to set that all up (as far as the crumb bar drop down, etc.).
Yes, I recall this was in one of the first intro classes to navigating kinetic at insights like 3 years ago.
