License question

Vantage plant floor is the only way to access a regular data collection
license. We are on Vantage 5.2 If your logging in as a regular user and
using "office data collection" your eating up a full license.

The data collection.vtg contains this line:
VantageDataCollectionUser=YES

That indicates you are a data collection user and not an office (full) user.

Bill:

When you open up Vantage and you go to Help, then About, in there you will
see Maximum Additional Data Collection licenses. Data Collection used to be
a full license until either 4.0 or 5.0, can't remember which. If you see
that the Data Collection number (in your case 5) is not there, then you
haven't installed the license for these.

Now how to install the license after the fact, I'm not sure, but I know
Epicor can help you there.

Bill,

I'm not up on the procedure for this, because it's been a very long time...
But you may need to check to make sure that when the license codes were
entered, the data collection license codes were entered as well. I remember
they are under a different button in the dialog box. Someone in the group
should know where that is. We have v4.0. And I think it's System Mgt -
configuration maint - license - at the bottom somewhere there should be a
button that says additional data collection users. I forgot to enter those
when I first entered ours. It might be worth checking.
