Looking for tutorial on making a button perform a lookup

On part entry > sites tab I have a UDF that I want to populate from a vendor lookup.

Basically I want to duplicate the functionality in the screenshot below elsewhere on the screen. A button to lookup vendor and then what the user picks is populated into the field next to it.

  1. What is the Epicor name for what I’m trying to do?
  2. Are there any tutorials, videos, or walkthroughs on how to do that?

“Simple Search Wizard” is what you are looking for. There’s a tutorial for it in the Epicor Customization User Guide under Advanced Customization->Customization Code Wizards.
