I have a Job that has a material ticked as “make direct” I need to untick it, but it is greyed out. I have already unengineered the Job but its still greyed out. How can I untick this?

The Make Direct check box will be automatically selected if the part exists in your part master file and this record has its Non-Stock Item check box selected. This indicates that these parts are normally not stored within inventory.
I had this issue just yesterday, as I was adding an ad-hoc make direct material to a job for the first time in a while. It was greyed out until I unchecked “purchase direct” which was checked by default when I added the new material. This is particularly true if it’s an ad-hoc material that doesn’t have a part setup.
its not a non-stock item
Uncheck the “purchase direct” field from the right lower side of part detail on job entry. it will then check the box “make direct”.
I foudn the issue, had an mrp job that had make to job as its demand, deleted that job and was able to uncheck it.
