We are longtime Vantage 8 users that have migrated to 10.2.400. In 8, we used to extract the purchasing suggestions from a form, they were all accessable via Buyer’s Workbench.
Now, I am struggling to get that same data into the workbench. I can see single suggestions, but I miss the “Subcontract” and “Material” tabs that allowed us to view (and extract) all of the purchasing suggestions.
This is important to us, as we want to see the full list of suggestions for a given item (even if well into the future) to help us make informed purchasing decisions. (We run MRP for a 3 year period, our materials have very long lead times).
It may just be my own familiarity with 10, so I’m reaching out to the users here to ask the question.
Is there a simple way to get the full content of purchasing suggestions into a form - similar to how it worked in Vantage 8?
We are on 10.1.600 but I can’t imagine (and hope frankly) that Epicor didn’t change the interface too much in 10.2.400 for this.
Perhaps the problem is that you are not going about it correctly.
the buyer workbench can still bring up all PO suggestions, via drop down New PO suggestions or Change PO suggestions, see below
alternately, you can go directly to New PO suggestions via menu structure, see below
if you are not setup as an authorized user for a buyer’s ID, you won’t be able to see their PO suggestions.
@Gil_V I am not sure how it worked in Vantage, but you could write a query and then create a report using the SugPoDtl table which holds the purchase order suggestions.
Nancy - we are good with the buyer setup, that is not our issue. Our issue is that for a given buyer, we want to view ALL of their suggestions. This was easily done in 8, in 10, I can’t figure out how to get them all into the form.
When we use “New” suggestions, it will only be for a given part number.
I’m probably doing something incorrectly, I just can’t stumble upon the answer.
As @Nancy_Hoyt said, all suggestions should pop up in the new suggestions workbench. If there are other suggestions that you are not seeing, it is most likely a buyer setup issue where buyer A cannot see the suggestions for buyer B. What parts are you expecting to see in the suggestions? Are those suggestions generated for a buyer that you have authorization under?
This was a behaviour change from 8/9 to 10. We are moving from 905 and clicking on the tree would load all suggestions. In 10.2 it loads just the one you clicked and using actions new PO suggestions loads them all.
