Multi-Company and Global settings

Michelle,

Thanks. It seems we didn't have Sonic up and running. We may yet
encounter other issues, but this is the first brick wall to scale.

We're on 8.305.403D. I'm trying to set up another company and set
some of our parts and customers as Global, so we can use them there.
I've activated the Multi-Company Server Process, and stopped and
restarted the Process Server. After all that, nothing shows up when I
look for parts in the receiving company.

Separately, in the host company Customer Maintenance, the IC Trader
checkbox is available but the Global checkbox is not. According to
Help, both of these are only available if we're using External System
Integration Tools. So, why would one be available and not the other?
It's not a problem that I can only have one of these activated at a
time, but I'd like to be able to choose _which_ one.

Does anyone have any information or ideas that would shed light on
either of these situations?

First, Make sure that Sonic is running on your server for the multi
company features to work.

Second, it's possible you didn't mark in the multi-company configuration
that you didn't select "send customer"...that would prevent you from
selecting customers as global.

Subject: [Vantage] Multi-Company and Global settings
