Multiple Cost Adjustments

Hi - I highly recommend that you look up a piece of software from
kratronic.com, Mouse and Key Recorder. It's a macro recorder that can
copy your stuff from excel (or txt file) to Vantage etc and do the cost
adjustment. You need a bit of a macro guru to really get the most out
of it, but even without one you'll be able to do some pretty cool stuff
such as job closing pretty quickly. Free trial. $100 USD gives you a
site license and fantastic support...
We are trying to find a way to make 100+ cost adjustments. Is there
any way to do this other than manually making all the changes?

Thanks

The easiest way we have found is to select the parts you want then from
list view copy out to a spreadsheet.

Once all corrections are made you can then paste back in using "paste
update" from a right click.

Make sure to add a reason code to the updated data

We have found this the fastest way to update our part costs which are
generated from rules and length dependant so price increases are not
always a simple %age

If anyone knows a better way I would love to hear it but this at least
gets the data in and out of Vantage and lets us use Excel to re-cost the
parts from rules and formulae

We also use a similar method to update supplier price list for purchased parts where the cost and price are the same
