I am looking for assistance finding the right permissions to grant a user. The user needs to be able to change the Salesperson on a customer record. In the Customer Maintenance screen, the dropdown for changing the salesperson is greyed out.
I have checked and the user is an approved user for all salespeople, has the sales person and sales manager security groups, and can do everything except this.
I am not sure, but this is worth a shot:
Try looking at Workforce Maintenance. Make sure that the user is authorized for the salesperson. For example, if Nate is the salesperson, and Dan is the person that can’t change salesperson in customer maint… Then, open Nates Work Force ID, and make sure Dan is listed as an authorized user under Nate.
Also make sure to log out of epicor if you adjust user account security settings, or authorized users, just to be safe.
Thank you for the suggestion. I have done this and still no luck. Other than blindly testing group permissions in User Account Maintenance, I’m not sure where to go next.
Is it a global customer? Or do you not have mult-company set up? I know based on the settings in the Global Table, some fields aren’t available to edit in the company that doesn’t “own” the record.
It’s a really strange problem. I’m the IT manager and our Epicor admin left a while ago. I’ve been getting by on most issues but this one is making me pull my hair out!
While scrolling down the list, I saw that the field SalesRepCode was set to Read, not Full. Saved, logged out, then logged in as my test user…success!
