Ok, well.... Redo the Console installation and then go from there...
After that, check your Appserver logs.
Epicor905\server\logs
Check these logs:
Epicor905.server.log
Epicor905.broker.log
I forget which one has it, but I am guessing you will see something along
the lines of a CRC error in them since the schema from the default DB won't
be the same as the 607 Schema, and the Appservers won't actually be running.
You will need to get the Admin Workstation installed so you can run the
Schema Update, then your Appservers can be turned on, then you can go in and
create the new company, run conversions etc.
The Process name for Appservers is _proapsv.exe if you are looking at your
Windows Task Manager.

64 Bit
No, I have not installed the Admin Workstation.. I have not go to page 54
yet in the instructions :) I am only on 41..
I have applied 9.05.607-P64. It did not have me run a schema update.
The admin Service for Open Edge 10.2A is running.
I will try to remove admin console and reinstall :)
Thanks.

Ok...
Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit?
If 64-bit have you installed the Admin Workstation?
Have you applied any service packs?
Run the Schema Updates if you did a service pack?
The Appservers do not show up in the Services, there is only one service,
Admin Service for OpenEdge 10.2A, this needs to be running, but whether the
Appservers are actually running is a different story. That you need to check
through the Progress Explorer Tool or OpenEdge Explorer.
I would also try doing a re-install of the Admin Console, instead of using
the Utilities install go to the Epicor905\Administration folder and run the
Setup.exe in there, only right click and "Run as Administrator" on there.

Hi Ned,
1. Progress
2. I do not see the appserver in services (???)
3. New Install using a blank db. I just want to play with software, we are
going to do a new implementation
Sorry I am not an IT guru. Just know enough to get me in trouble and be the
fortunate one to try this first. :(

What version? SQL or progress? Is your Appserver actually running? Is this
an upgrade from an earlier version or a blank DB?

I am ATTEMPTING to install E9 on a test server. Not going as easy as I
planned but does it ever.
I am at the final part where I add the Application Server Connection. But I
receive an error - Application Server version has not been verified...
Review error message below. Which that states "Unable to connect to the
AppSever"
Any clue? Because I do not have a clue
